Therapeutic approach

Corinne has worked for a number of years as a therapeutic counsellor and offers short and longer term counselling. She has experience of working with a diverse client base and a wide range of issues, using an integrative framework. The use of a flexible approach allows Corinne to provide a safe, confidential and warm environment giving her clients the freedom to explore emotional difficulties. Corinne believes that the quality of the relationship between herself and the client is enhanced by her empathetic approach and her commitment to building a space of trust and understanding for each individual.

Sometimes the world can seem like a very difficult place. The decision to talk to someone other than friends or family can be hard. I believe that it’s the talking that helps, and that finding an open, honest space to look at feelings and issues can provide relief; it’s an old adage but I do believe that a problem shared is a problem halved.   My interest in counselling comes from a profound interest in people – I care what happens to my clients and want to understand what it feels like to be them. That way we can work collaboratively to find insight and change.
