Experienced psychotherapists and counsellors
Our main clinic in Central London is in Harley Street – a world-renowned centre for medical excellence. We provide expert and completely confidential help, in a safe and empathic environment. Here, you can resolve whatever issues may be troubling you – from anxiety and depression, to relationship problems, addiction, anger, and more. Professional counsellors and psychotherapists John Barrett, Sarah Hamilton and Julian Tomkins all offer highly-focused brief counselling or long-term psychotherapy, as required. In Harley Street we are able to provide sessions to adults, children from age 11 upwards, and couples, in either English or French.
Our Harley Street clinic (and head office) is situated in the heart of Central London, close to John Lewis and Oxford Street, and within easy reach of Marylebone and Baker Street. There is a comfortable waiting area on the ground floor; Anchor Counselling is on the second floor, in a private suite of rooms dedicated to the talking therapies.
During the day, friendly reception staff will welcome you into the waiting room; after 5pm, your therapist will meet you at the front door at the time of your appointment. Please note that there is no lift in the building.
Our Harley Street counselling rooms are easily accessible by bus (6, 8, 13, 15, 23, 73, 135, 137, 139 and 189 stop outside John Lewis), tube (Oxford Circus or Bond Street), or car (metered parking on surrounding streets which is free after 6.30pm, or National Car Parks in Cavendish Square and Queen Anne Street).
Our counsellors are available in Harley Street on Tuesdays, between 8am and 9pm.
The most common things that we find bring people to look for a counsellor or psychotherapist in Harley Street are anxiety, depression, work-related stress, and relationship problems. However, all our team are experienced in helping people resolve a wide range of issues. Our Central London therapists have particular expertise in cross-cultural issues, addiction, trauma, and bereavement. For a more complete list of the kind of things we can help with, see issues.
Our standard 50-minute sessions in Harley Street are charged at £90.
We do offer a number of places at reduced rates for those on limited incomes – please call us to discuss further.
